Applesauce with strawberries

1.35kg apples of choice (about 9 apples)
10 large frozen strawberries
70g granulated sugar
1 lemon, juiced
60ml water
1/8 tsp allspice
1) Peel, core and slice apples 1/2cm thick. Place apple slices in a large saucepan. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until a sauce consistency, about 45 mins. Use a potato masher, if necessary, to break up any lumps, but leave slightly chunky.
