Cheddar and Chive Biscuits

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons finely minced chives
1/2 cup grated cheddar
1 cup cold buttermilk
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
1. Preheat the oven to 230°C and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Then add the chives, cheddar and buttermilk, and stir it all together until a dough begins to form. Slowly pour in the melted butter; stir until everything is just combined and moistened.
3. With a 1/4 cup measuring cup, drop the dough onto the baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, rotating the baking sheets halfway through. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
