Green mesquite beans for cookout

910g cleaned pinto beans
55g bacon ends, chopped
30g chopped jalapeno pepper
3 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp salt
1.9L water
1) Add all ingredients to a 6L pan and stir thoroughly. Place on a stove over a high heat and bring to the boil.

2) Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender. Leave to sit for 30 minutes and then serve.
