For the dry mix

225g plain flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp baking powder
80g light brown sugar
100g caster sugar
60g milk chocolate chips
60g dark chocolate chips
60g white chocolate chips
80g M&Ms
Add ins:
130g salted butter, room temperature
1 egg, room temperature

This is the perfect gift for friends and family. All you need to do is fill a Kilner cliptop jar with the dry ingredients and include the recipe instructions below. All they need to do is add butter and an egg. Recipe makes 18-20 cookies.

Preheat the oven to 170°C and line three large baking trays with greaseproof paper.

In a large bowl, whip the butter until pale. Next, crack in the egg and whip again until light and fluffy. It might look like the mixture has scrambled but don't worry, keep going.

Add in the dry ingredients and stir with a Kilner wooden jam spoon until you achieve a soft dough. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

One by one, take tablespoons of dough and roll into balls, placing them on the baking trays. Remember, these will spread so keep them a good distance away from each other.

Bake for 14-16 minutes for soft cookies and 18-20 minutes for crunchy cookies.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
