Sauteed Plantains

2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp canola oil
2 plantains, sliced in half vertically on bias and then cut lengthwise

In a large frying-pan, heat butter and oil over medium-low heat until butter melts, add plantains and saute until golden brown, and a fork goes through the flesh easily, 10 to 12 minutes. Turn occasionally to brown all sides.
