Spicy jalapeno sliders

450g beef mince
2 jalapenos, seeded, finely diced, plus whole or sliced, for serving
2 shallots, chopped fine
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
60ml double cream
1/4 cup grated spicy Monterey Jack cheese
Pinch garlic powder
1 tbsp salt, plus pinch
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper, plus pinch
240ml creme fraiche
60ml store-bought salsa verde
12 mini dinner rolls
1) Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. In a large bowl, put the minced beef, jalapenos, shallots, breadcrumbs, double cream, cheese, garlic powder, 1 tablespoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix together well.

2) Form the mixture into small patties and place in the oven for 12-15 minutes to cook.

3) In a separate bowl, add the creme fraiche, salsa verde, pinch of salt and pepper and mix together. Refrigerate until ready to serve with the sliders.

4) Lightly spread the creme fraiche mix on both sides of the buns. Place the burgers in the middle and garnish with a jalapeno.
