Not just for pasta! Pine nuts shine in these cookies!

This is one of those chocolate chunk cookies dishes that delivers deliciousness in every bite! The cocoa, chocolate chips and butter make for great cookies, but the addition of pine nuts transforms these biscuits from everyday to unexpectedly special.

The ingredients for this chocolate chunk cookies recipe come together easily, but it’s the addition of the chocolate chip and the pine nuts that take them to next-level scrumminess. Once they come out of the oven and cool, you end up with cookies that are slightly crisp on the outside, soft and gooey in the middle, with chocolate and nuts in every bite. What’s not to like!

Serve straight up with a glass of cold milk, grab a couple with your afternoon cuppa, or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert treat.

And this is one of the chocolate chunk cookies dishes that doesn’t have to stay true to the ingredients list. Swap in dark chocolate chunks for a richer edge, add a pinch of cinnamon for a festive feel, or sprinkle a little sea salt on top before you put them in the oven for a sweet-salty finish. However you bake them, these cookies prove that a small twist - like pine nuts - can make a classic recipe feel brand new.

Once you’ve mastered this chocolate chunk cookies recipe, how about trying some more brilliant biscuit bakes, like fabulous fruitcake cookies, scrumptious shortbread cookies, or the original and (some say) the best - chocolate digestives!
