Bad Boy Pizza Opens its First Permanent Pizzeria
Winners of the National Pizza of the Year at the National Pizza Awards in both 2022 and 2024, Bad Boy Pizza are opening their first permanent pizzeria in Bethnal Green! The pizzeria will be serving slices to-go during the day, and will transform into a sit-down pizzeria in the evening.
As for the pizzas, they're Italian-American inspired with a New York-style, meaning hand-tossed, thin-crust, and a generous size. The menu itself has not yet been shared, but one thing worth noting is that you can grab 50% off pizzas and a free beer this weekend, while stocks last, at their brand new venue.
The Spirit of Art's 3-day Whisky and Gin Festival,
This weekend, head to Crane Court Gallery for a most-sophisticated day of perusing art whilst sipping on whiskey. From Friday to Sunday, the gallery are collaborating with Wemyss Family Spirits, one of Scotland's leading independent distillers and bottlers of malt whiskies and natural gins. Art, whisky and gin enthusiasts will enjoy a programme of tastings and art taking place at the gallery from 12 to 6pm. Tickets cost £28 a head and include four drams across the range of malt whiskies and premium gins, with complimentary nibbles! You can also prebook from the curated range of desserts and chocolates, with a cash bar open throughout the day for those who wish to enjoy a bottle to take home.
NYC's Cult Fried Chicken Comes to London
You may have heard of Pecking House- the fried chicken joint from chef Eric Huang has been hailed as one of New York's must-try food, building a 10,000+ waitlist within months of launching. Now, the hype is making a (chilli oil) splash in London, as an extended kitchen takeover at Double Standard, King's Cross runs from Thursday 31st July until the 14th September. There’s the Chilli Chicken, fried in spicy duck fat chilli oil; a juicy Chinatown Chicken Sandwich with pork floss and smoky mayo; and sides that swing from smashed cucumbers to chicken spice fries. Vegans of London, fear not. There’s even vegan Mapo Tofu with Avocado.
Kerb Social Opens in Shoreditch
From Mario Kart marathons to juicy jerk chicken, Kerb Social is Spitalfields Market's latest addition where, in their own words, "retro vibes meet modern buzz, and everyone feels at home". Imagine a place where sports, games, karaoke, and incredible food, all lives under one roof. Plus, the food menu consists of three handpicked street food traders to kerb all kinds of cravings. Oh My Dog serves up loaded hotdogs, Cutie Pies provides the deep dish pizzas with golden crusts, and Only Jerkin’ brings the heat with triple-dipped jerk chicken wings. Opens on the 1st August.

You may have seen the viral revolving belt of the nation's favourite nibble on TikTok- Pick & Cheese has been a big hit in Seven Dials. Now, thanks to its success, Pick & Cheese is blessing another one of London's beloved markets. The Cheese Bar in Camden is being converted into their second branch. You can never get enough cheese on a conveyor belt! Choose from over 25 different cheese and charcuterie plates, all sourced from around the UK and paired with individual condiments and small producer wines. Plus, this Wednesday will be the first of the Bottomless Cheese Wednesdays- that's all you can eat cheese for only £20!
Ace Pizzeria Opening just off Victoria Park
Giving park dates a new lease of life, the beloved Ace Pizza by Rachel Jones will be opening its very own Pizzeria just off Victoria Park. Here, you can try the carefully designed dough recipe which takes over 72 hours to produce. All ingredients used are the best that can be found (the tomatoes are from the San Marzano region, known for their flavour and quality). With soft serve for dessert, XL bread sticks to start, and Calabrian chilli margs to wash it all down, we couldn't imagine a better way of ending a day at the park.
