We've never been so glad to see the end of a month. With January out of sight and out of mind, we can return to doing what we do best: eating and drinking our way around London. This week, with new additions to Seven Dials, early Lunar New Year celebrations and new hidden restaurants to discover, there's plenty to keep us entertained.
Here's what to eat (and drink) in London this week.
New Traders Arrive at Seven Dials Market
Three new traders have arrived at Seven Dials market, further expanding the market's broad range of cuisines. First up is HOKO, an all-day Hong Kong diner known for its iconic Brick Lane café. They'll be serving authentic wonton soups, hearty broths, and milk teas. Next we have the family-run Masa Tacos, an award-winning Mexican restaurant and finally, Bask Street Boys, London’s first Spanish tortilla bar. These additions come as part of KERB’s commitment to refreshing its line-up with fresh, diverse concepts in the popular central London pit-stop.
The Last Full Week to Take Advantage of Restaurant Month's Deals!

A Hidden Cantonese Restaurant Opens in London Fields
Here in London, we're suckers for a hidden venue. From concealed doorways to basement wine bars, the harder to find, the better. And so, we have a feeling that Cafe Kowloon will cause quite a stir in London's food scene. Make your way to the back of Wonton Charlie's, where you'll find a setting inspired by Hong Kong's dim sum houses and cocktails bars hidden through the arch. It will have 10 counter seats in front of the open kitchen, with wafts of meats sizzling on a charcoal grill. The menu includes grilled curry fish ball skewers, wok-fried monkey head cheung fun, smoked half chicken, and plenty of gimlets to wash it all down.
East London's Favourite Music-Led Restaurant Grows
Good news for all Bambi fans, you might actually get a booking now! Following their closure for refurbishment, the new Bambi has doubled in size, and will be back up and running tomorrow with more tables, a new mezzanine floor, and an expanded courtyard. What's more, the food is now being run by Jamie Thorneycroft (previously Lagom). There's a charcoal grill, a dry-ager and as such, a new, expanded menu to match its spacious setting. Think Butterflied Whole Bream, juicy Chicken Skewers, and Burnt Leeks with Harissa Yoghurt & Pistachio. It may have doubled in size, but we have no doubt the space will fill up quickly- so act fast and secure your spot for this weekend!
Lunar New Year Celebrations Start Early
Last but not least, this year, the Lunar New Year celebrations kick off on the 17th of February, but some of us can't wait until then. Coming to the rescue is Yú Gé, the Cantonese restaurant overlooking the Themes who are one of the first to toast to the Year of the Horse, with an exclusive Lunar New Year menu that blends bold, authentic flavours with the spirit of togetherness. It features ten festive dishes, and is available from the 4th of February to the 1st of March 2026 for a minimum group of 4. Poon Choi or 'Basin Feast' will be available for groups of four or more with 48 hours' notice.
