Starting Friday the 6th November, London will come alive for a five day celebration of life, love and the Hindu festival of lights. It's that time of year again, and for 2026, we've done some research to gather some of the best restaurants in London that are marking the occasion. Here's where to eat in London to celebrate Diwali 2026.
Firangi at Top Cuvée
Firangi, the Indian dining concept currently in residence at Top Cuvée, is celebrating Diwali with a new à la carte menu from Head Chef Ruhi Parmar Amin. Inspired by the Festival of Lights, the sharing-style menu explores lesser-known regional Indian flavours, with dishes including lamb keema with spiced potato crème, crispy fried chicken cutlet with gongura curry and sweet orange, and Wazwan mushroom orzo with papad and Comté.
There’s also a nod to traditional Diwali snacking, with salt and pepper crisps served with masala tartare sauce and roasted baby potatoes with nilgiri sauce. For dessert, expect poached pear with Kashmiri kahwa cream, infused with jaggery, an unrefined sugar commonly used in Indian sweets.
Brigadiers, City of London
Brigadiers in the City of London is serving up a special £105-per-person feast, bringing together a generous selection of Indian-inspired dishes from the 5th to the 14th. The celebrations kick off with pappadums and chutneys, Dorset crab samosas, smoked pumpkin missi roti and BBQ butter chicken wings, alongside Konkani scallops with crispy chorizo and cauliflower keema. For mains, diners can choose between venison shank korma, cod kalimirch tikka with malai korma or dum guinea fowl biryani, all accompanied by dal makhani, aloo baingan masala, pine nut and onion pilau, and a bread basket. For those looking to push the boat out, there's also the option to add tandoori lamb chops for an extra £18.50 per person.
OMNOM, Islington
OMNOM at Islington Square is celebrating Diwali on Sunday 8 November with an afternoon of food, music and culture. The festivities begin with a special lunch from 12pm to 2pm, followed by live performances from Gaiea Sanskrit, bringing traditional Sanskrit music and cultural expression to life. Running until 4pm, the event celebrates the Festival of Lights and its message of togetherness, with friends, families and newcomers all welcome to join in.
Manthan, Mayfair
Manthan is a modern Indian restaurant brought to Mayfair by Chef Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan. Drawing on his experience in kitchens around the world, Ghai combines traditional home-style cooking with contemporary techniques to create dishes bursting with flavour and personality. With sleek interiors and a central statement bar, Manthan makes for a beautiful setting to celebrate Diwali. This year, the restaurant is offering a special £65-per-person tasting menu, with an optional wine pairing for an additional £55. Expect dishes including chicken tikka samosa, tawa-fried sea bass with southern spices, lamb chops with garam masala and a choice of wild prawns or slow-cooked venison. There's also a dedicated vegetarian menu featuring raj kachori, crispy Jerusalem artichoke tikki and palak paneer, followed by a trio of traditional Indian sweets.
Trishna, Marylebone
With a Michelin star to its name, Trishna offers a contemporary taste of Indian coastal cuisine – very well, we might add. From 2–8 November, the Marylebone restaurant is celebrating the Festival of Lights with a special Taste of Trishna Diwali menu, created by Executive Head Chef Sajeev and his team. Bringing together signature dishes and seasonal highlights, the menu features lemon lobster tail, Amrut grouse and gulab jamun tiramisu. The restaurant's usual à la carte menu will also be available throughout the celebrations. As an added treat, guests opting for the Diwali tasting menu will receive a complimentary miniature bottle of Trishna's signature Muziris Negroni to take home.
Babur's Diwali Party
South London's beloved Indian restaurant, Babur, is celebrating the Festival of Lights with a special five-course tasting menu from 6–8 November. Created by Head Chef Jiwan Lal, the £64.95 menu features dishes including Delhi-style ram laddu chaat, Malvani fish tikka, chicken Chettinad and khoya gujiya served with saffron yoghurt ice cream. On Sunday 8 November, the restaurant will be hosting a special candlelit Diwali party, complete with live performances throughout the evening at 7.30pm, 8pm and 8.30pm. Priced at £74.95 per person, it's certainly an occasion to mark in your calendar, but if you can't make the party, fear not. The Diwali tasting menu will also be available on Friday and Saturday.
Romy Gill at The Pem, Westminster
Chef, broadcaster and food writer Romy Gill is celebrating her first Diwali at The Pem with a special four-course menu inspired by the dishes she serves at home during the Festival of Lights. Available from 3–7 November for £65 per person, the menu brings together traditional Indian flavours with influences from Romy's travels across the country. Expect dishes including crispy aloo tikki with shallot, chilli and coriander, twice-marinated lamb chops with mint chutney, Punjabi-style chicken curry and spiced pumpkin with coconut and white poppy seeds. To finish, there's moong dal halwa, a warming dessert served with saffron ice cream. With its rich red interiors and Mughal-inspired artwork, The Pem makes for a rather beautiful setting to celebrate the occasion.
