1) Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4.
2) Combine the cake mix and the 120ml of cold water. Beat for 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs, water, vanilla and oil. Mix well.
3) Place the ice cream cones in muffin tins or on a baking sheet and fill each half full with the batter. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cake springs back to the touch.
Ice and decorate when cooled, if desired.
