Where to Eat in London to Celebrate Diwali 2025

Starting Monday the 20th October, London will come alive for a five day celebration of life, love and the Hindu festival of lights. It's that time of year again, and for 2025, we've done some research to gather some of the best restaurants in London that are marking the occasion. Here's where to eat in London to celebrate Diwali 2025.

Raaz, Putney

Putney's newest restaurant from Chef Patron Imran Mansuri, Raaz, will mark its first Diwali this October with a week-long celebration from Tuesday 21st to Sunday 27th October. There will be a three-course feast from £39.99pp, blending cult comfort dishes with house signatures, plus a few chef’s secrets thrown in. The menu is centred around the flavours of Imran's childhood, and sharpened by years in London’s top kitchens (previously Michelin-starred Benares and Jamavar, Tamarind, Annabel’s, and Kolamba). You can expect rich Butter Chicken, Kadai Prawns, and Grilled Pumpkin Moilee, all served with dal makhani, basmati rice and naan, followed by house-made Mango Kulfi.

Brigadiers, City of London

This upscale Indian Barbecue restaurant is inspired by the army mass bars of India, where military regiments go to eat, drink, and socialise. Located right in the city of London, Brigadieres are hosting a Diwali feast from the 17th-26th October for £100 per person. Dishes from the menu include the likes of Tandoori Guinea Fowl Tikka Changezi, Dum Venison Biryani, and Cod Kalimirch, Malai Korma. Of course, there will be Pappadums to wipe away any excess sauce.

OMNOM, Islington

OMNOM is hosting a Diwali celebration with GO DHARMIC on October 21st! They'll be bringing together delicious food, uplifting entertainment, and the spirit of giving, all in support of Go Dharmic’s humanitarian work. Start with a special Masala Chai or an Elder Cucumber Cooler to whet the appetite, then tuck into some canapés such as Gobi Manchurian, Aloo Bonda, and Aubergine Pakoda. From 7pm-8.30pm, there will be entertainment such as traditional garba, music, and an inspiring Diwali message from Go Dharmic. Following that, the main course feast will begin, with the likes of Surti Undhiyu, Kaju Paneer Masala and Gunpowder Potatoes. Tickets to the event are £39.95 per person, and includes a donation and refreshments.

Manthan, Mayfair

Manthan is a modern Indian restaurant brought to Mayfair by Chef Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan. Chef Rohit Ghai has drawn on his culinary experiences in kitchens worldwide, fusing home-style cooking with expertly honed techniques, creating dishes bursting with flavour and personality. With sleek interiors and a central statement bar, Manthan offers a beautiful dining room to celebrate Diwali festivities. Their tasting menu is available from the 17th-20th October for £65 and includes four savoury dishes and one dessert. Expect Southern Chicken Lollipop and Lamb Chops, or opt for the Vegetarian menu with Raj Kachori and Palak Paneer.

Trishna, Marylebone

With one Michelin Star in their pocket, Trishna is restaurant that offers a contemporary taste of Indian coastal cuisine- very well, we might add. From the 13th to 22nd October they are bringing the season’s spirit of light, conviviality and gathering to life. A limited-edition diffuser designed to capture the vibrancy and warmth of the Festival of Lights will emit a glorious waft of cardamom, tonka bean, and black pepper— botanicals inspired by the spices of their cuisine- throughout the dining room. This will be available to purchase from the 13th October via the anatomē website. To eat? Chose one of their exclusive five-course Diwali Tasting Menus. Dishes have been crafted especially for the occasion, such as Lobster Cafreal and Amrut Grouse, while each course can be paired with a selection of bespoke wines from the cellar.

Babur's Diwali Party

On Monday 20th October, South London's beloved Indian restaurant, Babur, is celebrating The Festival of Light with a one-night-only Diwali Party. Settle in with a Saffron Sparkle welcome cocktail, feast on a five-course tasting menu under candlelight, and live in the moment with Bollywood dance performances to keep you entertained throughout the night. This is certainly an event to mark in your calendar, but if you can't make it down for the 20th, fear not. The Diwali tasting menu will be available until the 26th October.
